The Department of Educational Administration has a distinguished history of 20 years as the pioneer in implementing the master's program in Educational Administration in Mongolia. The Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, recognizing this need, established the department within the Mongolian National University of Education in 2002 through ministerial decree number 58. Dr. Ch. Purevdorj was appointed as the initial head, marking the commencement of significant academic and professional development in the field.
Today, the department is staffed by academics, including Dr. D. Naranchimeg, Dr. G. Ulziisaikhan, Dr. A. Tuya, and Dr. Sukhbold, alongside other distinguished scholars and professors from within and outside the university, continually improving and expanding its master's program in educational administration.
